Terms of Use

Last updated 20 June 2026

These terms set out the basis on which you can use the MT1L website and tools. We have kept them as clear and short as we can.

About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the MT1L website and the tools on it, including the VAT Scan. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Using the site

You may use the site for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • use it in any way that breaks the law or infringes others’ rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or our systems;
  • interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on the site; or
  • misuse the VAT Scan, including by submitting unlawful content.

The VAT Scan

The VAT Scan is an AI-assisted tool that helps you explore a proposed idea, initiative, service or change through Value, Alignment and Trust. It is offered as a beta, on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The scan supports your thinking; it does not make decisions for you and is not professional advice. Please read our AI Use Policy before relying on any output, and avoid entering personal, confidential or sensitive information.

Intellectual property

The VAT Framework, the VAT Scan, the MT1L name and logo, and the text, design and graphics on this site are owned by or licensed to MT1L and protected by intellectual property law. You may view and share our published insights for personal or internal, non-commercial use with appropriate credit. You may not otherwise copy, adapt, republish or commercially exploit our materials without our written permission.

No professional advice and no warranties

The site and its tools are provided for general information and to support your own decision-making. They are not legal, financial, technical or other professional advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for it. While we work to keep the site accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MT1L is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the site or its tools. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site, and we may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with the “last updated” date above; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
